Test and monitor
Fix connections and uncertain bookings
Check credentials, selected resources, action receipts and appointment timezones.
A saved integration does not work
Open Integrations in the correct clinic workspace and inspect the connection's test result and permitted tools. Saving an API key is not a successful access test.
| Result | Next step |
|---|---|
| Unauthorized or expired access | Reconnect or replace the credential in the connection fields using that provider's setup guide. Check account, region and tenant. |
| Access denied | Review scopes, user permissions, subscription/partner API access and resource sharing. |
| Calendar or document is missing | Verify that the authorized account can access that exact resource, then select it in the connection. |
| Tool absent from agent | Attach an offered tool from a tested connection under the agent's Functions, save and retest. |
| Provider timeout or rate limit | Inspect the existing result before trying a new write. Preserve the provider error and action identifier. |
A platform sign-in account does not grant CRM, calendar or document access. Your clinic owns those external connections. Do not paste tokens into prompts, knowledge bases or Assistant chat.
A booking sounds confirmed but is not visible
Check the session's action result and the actual source-system record. A successful spoken response or a dry-run fixture is not a real booking receipt.
Editor text tests do not execute tools. For a real controlled audio test, use Test settings → Execute connected tools during this test and an isolated test calendar. Automated simulations use fixtures and do not create real appointments.
If a booking, cancellation or reschedule is pending, uncertain or already updating, do not keep submitting it. The provider may have accepted the original action despite a lost response. Look up the booking ID in the source system and reconcile it before a new attempt. Tell the caller that staff must confirm the result.
Appointment time is wrong
Verify the clinic's intended IANA timezone, selected calendar/event type, visit duration, buffers and date. Read back the date, time and timezone when the caller is elsewhere or the date is ambiguous. Test daylight-saving boundaries rather than assuming a fixed UTC offset.
Frequently asked questions
Does a Google Calendar event update my veterinary PMS? No. A calendar connection and a practice-management integration are separate. Use an appointment-request workflow if the clinic's system lacks an approved connected booking API.
Why can I book but not reschedule directly in Calendly? Available actions depend on the provider. Calendly may supply a reschedule link instead of the direct mutation used by another connector.
Continue with booking receipts and your provider's integration guide.
