# Guesty

Connect Guesty, obtain the required access and configure permitted actions.

The API adapter is implemented. Validate your own account and authorized actions before routing production calls.

## Before you start

Connect the account belonging to this business and workspace. Vendor subscriptions, API limits and role permissions still apply.

**API:** Guesty Open API, Quotes and Reservations v3

**Authentication:** Bearer OAuth access token generated with Guesty client credentials

## Get access and connect

1. In Guesty Marketplace, enable Open API and create the API client if the account plan supports it.
2. Exchange the issued client ID/secret through Guesty's documented OAuth endpoint and save the resulting access token in Verbatik.
3. Test by reading one listing. Use real listing IDs to create a quote, inspect applicable rate plans and confirm a reservation from that quote.
4. Keep ignoreCalendar, ignoreTerms and ignoreBlocks false. Direct reservation date changes automatically recalculate financials; cancellation does not issue a refund. Read the returned reservation receipt before confirming completion.
5. Alter Guesty-managed direct reservations only. OTA-channel bookings must use their supported channel change/cancellation flow. Space successive reservation mutations by at least 60 seconds and reconnect when the access token expires; this connection does not implement automatic token exchange or refresh.

## Account requirements

- Guesty account with Open API access
- Guesty API client credentials and current access token
- A real listing/rate plan and guest details

## Permissions

- `Listing read access`
- `Quote create/read access`
- `Reservation create/read access`

Grant the subset needed for the actions you enable. API scopes do not override the connected user’s record permissions or vendor validation rules.

## Connection fields

- `accessToken` — API key or authorized access token (required). Secret fields are saved as workspace credentials.

## Available actions

- `test_connection` — **Read**. Read listings
- `list_listings` — **Read**. Read bookable property details.
- `create_quote` — **Write**. Price a stay without overriding calendar blocks, stay restrictions or availability. This creates a quote, not a reservation.
- `get_quote` — **Read**. Read actual quote prices and ratePlanId values before booking.
- `create_reservation` — **Write**. Create a reservation using an applicable quote/rate plan, retaining calendar and restriction checks.
- `reschedule_reservation` — **Write**. Change Guesty-managed direct reservation stay dates, checking availability, terms and blocks. Dates are property-local. Guesty automatically recalculates financials; explain any changed price. OTA-channel bookings must be changed through their supported channel flow. Space successive reservation mutations by at least 60 seconds.
- `cancel_reservation` — **Write**. Cancel a Guesty-managed direct reservation, recording who canceled and why. OTA-channel bookings need the channel cancellation flow. This changes reservation status; it does not issue a payment refund. Space reservation mutations by at least 60 seconds.
- `update_reservation_notes` — **Write**. Update selected reservation note fields; each supplied field replaces its previous value. Preserve existing content when appending a call outcome. Space reservation mutations by at least 60 seconds.
- `get_reservation` — **Read**. Read a reservation by its returned reservation ID.

## Provider-specific behavior

Direct reservations support creation, date changes and cancellation. OTA-channel reservations may require the originating channel’s workflow.

## Verify before going live

Run Test connection and one read action against a known permitted record. Then test each intended write in an authorized sandbox. Check the provider’s own record and the Verbatik receipt. Publish the agent after assigning its tools. If a write has an unknown outcome, reconcile it with the vendor before trying again.
