# Google Drive

Connect Google Drive, obtain the required access and configure permitted actions.

The API adapter is implemented. Validate your own account and authorized actions before routing production calls.

## Before you start

Connect the account belonging to this business and workspace. Vendor subscriptions, API limits and role permissions still apply.

**API:** Google Drive v3 and Google Sheets v4

**Authentication:** Workspace Google OAuth with offline refresh

## Get access and connect

1. Open Integrations → Google Drive and select Connect.
2. Authorize your Google account for read-only document access. Ask the Workspace administrator to approve Verbatik if necessary.
3. Choose a destination knowledge base and select the documents or Sheets the agent may use. Only connect business content you are authorized to share.
4. Run a sync, inspect imported sources and test source-backed answers. Update selections or reconnect if permissions change.

## Account requirements

- Your account must be authorized to read the selected business resources. Your organization may require administrator consent.

## Permissions

- `https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.readonly`

Grant the subset needed for the actions you enable. API scopes do not override the connected user’s record permissions or vendor validation rules.


## Available actions

Read-only document search, resource selection and knowledge-base synchronization. This source does not expose CRM or appointment writes.

## Provider-specific behavior

Google Docs and Google Sheets are supported knowledge sources. Sheets are read as formatted values across selected tabs. Sync changes and deletions before relying on updated answers.

## Verify before going live

Run Test connection and one read action against a known permitted record. Then test each intended write in an authorized sandbox. Check the provider’s own record and the Verbatik receipt. Publish the agent after assigning its tools. If a write has an unknown outcome, reconcile it with the vendor before trying again.
